This method ensures that you will not lose it forever but change will happen on the other hand, you can go to the archived file to copy and paste bits into the new version. One of the biggest fears of all is when the upgrade theme is the fact that you also lose all your changes and it no longer happens with this plugin helps.

You simply just go to Plugins > Add new > then you have to upload it to upgrade the existing plugins through a simple zip file upload. You must make sure that you are running version 0.0.2 so that you ensure to get this new feature. In addition, this new version includes support for newest WordPress version products.

After installing and activating the plugin, follow these steps to upgrade your theme:

Download the latest zip file for your theme. You can always download the latest version of any themes you’ve purchased on your member page.
Log into your WordPress site.
Go to Appearance > Add New Themes and click the Upload tab at the top of the page.
Select the zip file with the new theme version to install.
Select “Yes” from the “Upgrade existing theme?” option.
Click “Install Now”.

the previous version theme file are automatically stored in the zip file and also added to the Media Library in order to facilitate the download. You must know in this way, all the customizations that you have made possible not be lost. Note that you need to know to ensure that WordPress (technically your web server) has permission to write good wp-content/themes in the directory and also the directory to be replaced.
