A few days ago StudioPress has released Genesis Theme Framework. Some child theme has been released to work with Genesis Theme Framework. Brian Gardner explained to you Genesis users about Child theme in StudioPress blog.

The explanation given by Brian includes understanding themes framework, child themes, screenshots, theme files, stylesheet, file functions, and the images folder. This explanation is a basic guides and necessary if you just already use Genesis.
